Flat Manly says, "Hello from Creston, British Columbia!"

Flat Manly has had a wonderful time in western Canada with our kind host Mrs. Ruth Handy! He met her in Idaho at a friend's farm, then crossed the border into British Columbia. The notes are provided by Mrs. Ruth!

Stanley Glacier

Flat Stanley arrived in northern Idaho on a beautiful sunny afternoon - temperature was 59F.

A few minutes later, the Canadian Customs Officer smiled and laughed when I introduced him to Flat Stanley - the world traveler!

Welcome to Creston, Flat Stanley! We had sunny weather just for you - temperature is 15C (59F =15C, just so you know!)

Flat Stanley’s visit to Creston’s historical landmark

An official welcome to Creston by our Mayor Ron Toyota. Flat Stanley was feeling very important!

Stanley also got to go on a trip to Alberta and saw all sorts of fascinating things! (I also have it on good authority that Manly stayed on his best behavior and never asked, "Are we there yet?" once.)

Stanley crosses the BC/Alberta border at Crowsnest Pass and sees the Rocky Mountains...

Stanley visited one of the most famous and most beautiful tourist destination in Canada…Banff, Alberta

Driving in the Canadian Rockies just west of Banff

Stanley felt very famous when he found a glacier in the Rocky Mountains named after him !!!

Stanley….proudly showing off his own glacier !!!

Stanley asked, "WHAT'S A PYSANKA????"

Still up close….his eyes were bulging…he did ask how big was the Bunny???

Thank you SO much, Mrs. Ruth, for an unforgettable adventure in Canada!
